Montclair Community Farms (MCF) is a non profit organization whose mission is to educate and engage the community through farm, food, and health. They run a wide range of programming from a mobile farm stand at locations across Essex County, to youth and adult programs on herbalism, gardening, and more!
For the last 7 years Montclair Community Farms mobile farm stand has provided customers who shop with SNAP, 50% of their purchase of fresh produce through the Good Food Bucks program. The Montclair Community Farms mobile farm stand operates at senior housing sites, community centers and food pantries across Essex County from June-October. In 2024 alone, the MCF team served 1,444 community members and supplied over 2,000 pounds of food at over 90 markets!
In collaboration with Ethos Farms, Urban Agriculture Co-Op and MEVO Farms, MCF is able to distribute additional fresh healthy New Jersey produce to many communities who are in need. They also sell honey, granola, spices and personal care products made at the community farm.
